What You Need to do When You Miss Class
- When you are tardy or absent and miss my instructions and or don't know what information or assignments you missed, you need to ask a trusted student in the class or one of my other classes about what you missed and or what was completed & turned in. You can also ask me, of course. Sometimes I may not have time in class to adequately explain what you missed, so stopping by at lunch or after school is highly recommended.
- You need to make sure your tardy or absence has been excused (CLEARED) with Morse's Attendance office, otherwise the work and or test/quiz that was due or assigned that day(s) may not be accepted or be made up. See me if you are unsure how to clear your tardy or absence.
- If you were absent one day, you have one day to turn in the work.Absent two days, you have two days to complete the work, and so on.
- If you are absent the day of a test/quiz, you need to see me on the day you return so I can give you the test/quiz. Test dates are usually posted 2-3 weeks in advance. You must clear your absence or you cannot make-up the test/quiz.
- If you are on a contract for independent study through the attendance office, you must turn in the work to me the FIRST day you return, otherwise you may not receive any attendance credit for the days you were absent.
- The bottom line is you are responsible for knowing what was assigned and completing & turning in all the work you missed, including tests/quizzes, in a timely manner.
